Normally you have 2 options, 1) being you turn with your "A" and "D" keys or 2) you can run side to side which is what most call strafing on games now a days.

I can see in TERA how actual "strafing" could be very beneficial seeing how as melee you hit where you are facing and you have collision detection. So if there were actual strafing in here where you side step then it would be very useful imo.

I do think it feels cleaner when your character always faces fowards except for running away. I would also add, when blocking and moving backwards, your character should remain facing fowards since you are properly retreating.

For some reason I thought I remembered the Archer charged shot being able to charge while running, but I can't find anything on it so I'm pretty sure that's just my imagination. Would be cool though
its not ur imagination the archer did have a charged shot that they moved with, tho the speed of the archer was greatly reduced

Hopefully this will change.
if they add this in, I think only certain skills should be able to be used while moving. allowing movement during all skills would be crazy.

while TERA currently isn't literal strafing, it is pretty much strafing movement wise, and if you want the effects of strafing for attacking toward your camera facing too, you could just tap forward right before you attack bringing you to a stop and facing forward for the attack. not exactly a hard micro to do to compensate.

Full movement while using all skills has been done before. Don't think I much care for it It totally removes all tactical aspects from the game and turns it into a circle strafe cluster ****
