WE'RE ALL BIGOTS YOU MADE ME LAUGH EHRE HAHAHAand I did not attack. I made an affirmation and gave you a fully-voiced game by one of the biggest studios on Earth, and you took it as an attack. This is an attack, from a potential bigot: '' Wow should have been!" and they run off to the ToR forums.[/QUOTE] Tell me you aren't THAT naive?... TOR has nothing to do with WoW EVERYTHING* is completely different, the world, the way you move, the way the combat takes place, the action, the interaction, the chatting, the dialogues, the quests, the dungeons, EVERYTHING IS ANEW, you then know nothing about it, it would seem. Lol. I never drool, buddy. I love both games and waiting for them on an equal scale. And to say that it will add extra lag: noobcake call. They don't compromise anything for this man.

Nice thing about my opinion is I don't have to prove it. And even if I did have to prove it they do have NDA's over at ToR too.
You don't have to be bound by ToR's NDA to read their forums though which you obviously aren't. Typical standard trinity, which granted was obvious to anyone who paid attention to the forums they would have but some people thought ToR was the second coming for mmo's and was going to destroy the trinity forever. Eight classes each with three talent trees, just like WoW. Unlike WoW you pick an advanced class and are locked down to two, you main one and a mutt one that gives you some of the abilities of the other advanced class All the voice over cut scenes act as if you're the only person in existance. The ranger and smuggler class stories are written as if each and every smuggler and Trooper are the super star of their class in the entire galaxy. It leads towards the fear some have that it will me a massive single player game like STO. Its being catered to the star wars fan, which just as Cryptic said about STO for the star trek fan so code for meant for the casual. They said in their FAQ that they do not have the hard core in mind. In tenton though they do an article where they say they have the hardcore in mind as they are the most important fan. They are wasting time by making multiple cinematic scenes made by Bluehole! They look gorgeous but the in game graphics are no were near that level, in fact they look worse than WoW's graphics. So as you bastardized my post and tried to say I had claimed ToR would be WoW as in an exact duplicate of the game but called ToR that is false but then I never said that so its okay. ToR: Crapaclysm!!!!! I said ToR would be a wow clone, WoW 2.0, etc... basically its taking the same basic layout of WoW and putting it in a SW world. Obviously all mmos will share some similarities but they are bringing nothing new to the table and voice overs are not groundbreaking. I imagine after a week people will be skipping past the voice over cut scenes and making snap decisions on dialogue choices. Bio has set their forums up as a hype machine not a tool to get feedback and comments from their playerbase. They have shown that they aren't listening to their players from the forum quite well. I fear ToR will give Bio a very bad name. |

Better.
I also feel it's leaning slightly too much towards 'the beaten path' rather than ground breaking which is a shame but we won't really know until release day. I can understand the logic though, wow is popular and has the most popular westernised mmorpg model which is proven and Star Wars has a lot of fans. Combine both and you have untapped cash as well as potential to keep it rolling in for some time to come regardless of the end product.
