Sorry but this just smacks full of a straight rip from World of Warcraft. While WoW is a great game, the idea of rolling a healing/support class and then going straight into the shoes of the DPS is just a plain bad idea. If you want your nukes to hit like a freight or smash your foes face in, then go roll a proper DPS class.
The one case where I'll grant a DPS priest has some potential is if you make it so said DPS glyphs severly nerf his ability to heal/support others in his traditional role while they are active. |

Well the op gave the thread the wrong name. It should be something like: Priest being able to solo?
He is just concerned about how well a priest is being able to do some stuff solo. Then again... doing stuff solo isnt exactly mmo and priest / healers are in general no good idea. Quote:

I have to disagree with having DPS glyphs on priests because if you give them the ability to do damage it would really make them a OP class in PvP or in instances. I really doubt that the runes would be restricted to PvP or just PvE or anything in between. The entire point of the priest in my opinion is for it to be a support class, which would make leveling alone harder but it also makes hooking up with people and leveling together much easier because no one will pass up a good healer. The reason I am going to be making a priest is so i can play with people because no one should play MMO's alone.
